Apple crumble in a baking dish on a marble surface

Apple Filling
6 apples (crisp apples, like Pink Lady - around 1kg)
  cup white sugar (67gr)
 1 tbsp plain flour
 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
 2 tbsp lemon juice
  cup water (79ml)
Crumble Topping
 1 cup rolled oats (90gr)
 1 cup plain flour (120gr)
1 cup soft brown sugar (160gr)
 ½ tsp baking powder
 1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup melted butter (115gr) plus extra for greasing.
Apple Filling
1

Preheat the oven to 180C (355F). Grease a baking dish (I used a 28cm square, 7 cm deep dish) and set aside.

2

Peel, core and cut all the apples into thin wedges. Place the apples into the baking dish.

3

Put the white sugar, flour, and cinnamon into a bowl and mix it with a fork. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the apples and coat all the apples evenly. Pour in the water and lemon juice over the apples and coat all the apples evenly.

Crumble Topping
4

Place all the topping ingredients into a big bowl. Mix with a fork until well combined. Sprinkle the crumble over the prepared apples. Bake for around 35 minutes or until the crumble turns a nice golden brown.

5

Serve warm with some vanilla ice-cream. Store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days. Heat in the microwave or oven before serving again.
