Ultimate Fudgy Chocolate Brownies
By Amy // Posted May 14, 2020 // Category Bars and Slices
My Ultimate Fudgy Chocolate Brownie recipe is the one you’ve been looking for. It’s rich, decadent and absolutely stunning.
What I like the most about it when I compare it to other brownies I’ve made is the fudgy and chewy texture. Plus, they’re really easy to make.
When you want to impress somebody or you want to treat yourself, this recipe would be the one to use. You’d probably never buy your brownies again, homemade ones are unbeatable.

tips
1. Customise it to your liking
Although it doesn’t need to be topped with anything, I quite like putting extra dark chocolate on top for texture and for double chocolate goodness.
Also, brownies go well with walnuts on top as well.
How about freeze dried raspberries? Not only are they pretty, they go amazingly with brownies.
2. To make the best brownies
1. Make sure to not overmix the batter. Gently fold and stop when there are no visible flour pockets.
2. The timing has to be on point! If you want extra gooey and fudgy brownies, take them out of the oven a little earlier at 20mins. If you want chewy, take them out at 25 minutes.
3. The sugar matters. If you want chewier, use white sugar. If you want fudgier, choose brown sugar.
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a square (20cm/8inch) baking tin and line the bottom with baking paper.
Combine the hot melted butter, oil and sugar in a bowl. Whisk well and add eggs one by one. Add the vanilla and beat well until the mixture becomes lighter in colour.
Add the sifted flour, cocoa powder and salt with the wet ingredients until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the square pan and make sure top is even. You can add around 200 grams of chocolate chips here if you want.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. If you want your brownies to be extra fudgy, take them out at 20 minutes, if you prefer it to be slightly chewier, take them out at 25 minutes.
Let the brownies cool completely before cutting. I put mine in the fridge and they cut much better than just cooling. Cut into 12 or 16 pieces.
